Ted Emanuel, a world renowned Antiguan naturopathic physician, has partnered with an international company to usher a new wave of wellness into the Caribbean.

The company Emanuel has engaged its Diamond Tree Corporation, which offers a wide range of natural products. Some of Diamond Tree’s products were engineered by the macrobiotic master Michio Kushi.

Kushi, who has been nominated for a Nobel Prize in Health and received honours from the United Nations, was the creator of the company’s flagship merchandise Fermena — a compound that comprises 50 whole foods.

It is also the only prebiotic (food that is beneficial but not digestible) formula designed to perform in perfect concert with the human digestive system.

According to a press statement, Fermena will be a key component at Emanuel’s Macrobiotic Health and Wellness Schools, which will cater to children ages 7 to 18.

Establishing these institutions is another goal Emanuel has set and they will be free for children in the Caribbean; schools will be opened first in Jamaica, followed by Antigua and Barbados.

This plan was unveiled at a soft launch of Diamond Tree in Jamaica earlier this month at the Ashanti restaurant in Kingston.

The announcement provided the backdrop for Dr. Roger Boger, one of Emanuel’s partners in Diamond Tree, to introduce his bestselling book “Your Einstein Complex…Awaken your inner genius” to the Caribbean; it features an excerpt from Emanuel. Proceeds obtained from the sale of the book will help to fund the Health and Wellness Schools in the region.

Emanuel has also been appointed as the Master Distributor for Diamond Tree in the Caribbean by the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Kendall Cho, who has hailed him as leader of “the next wave of wellness”.
