The Antigua and Barbuda Billiards Sports Association (ABBSA) is the governing body for the family of sports within Billiards. Our vision is to produce world-class billiards sports-persons in Antigua and Barubda. We will achieve this through a structured and streamlined approach highlighting the benefits of billiards from vary levels. Some of these levels include:
* Teaching essential lief-skills to young persons through billiards (anger management, self-control, respect for others, and more)
* Using billiards to bring to life in a practical manner seemingly complex topics in geometry, physics, and algebra
* Highlighting the fact billiards can be used (and currently is in many parts of the world) as a family sport which accompany's you on life's path - there is accessibility for persons in wheelchairs.
* Empowering players to see their true potential as athletes in the sport
* To show the various opportunities available in establishing family-friendly locations where the sport can be enjoyed
In addition to carrying out our mission, we are empowering our members by creating an infrastructure for them to enjoy benefits. For example, each member of the association will receive a membership card. This membership card will give you the ability to enjoy discounts from association events, as well as discounts from various professionals and entities who we have negotiated with.
The sport of Billiards is a highly technical and complex sport which requires a great amount of accuracy and timing, yet it is so much fun to play and enjoy. ABBSA is planning for the future implement a business league, youth development programme, a school league as well as a robust female league through various events, workshops, and competitions.
