ABI Bank/JCI Antigua Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) will once again be hosted by JCI Antigua from the period August 26th – November 8th 2010.
The program includes: Essay Writing Competition from August 26th – October 15th 2010; Maritime Day Seminar October 16th 2010; Youth Symposium - October 23rd – 9 am to 2 pm; Public and Impromptu Speaking Competition – November 6th 2010;
As a part of our JCI/ABI Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) we are preparing for our 3rd Annual JCI Essay Competition, themed, “writing is a product of silence.” The competition this year will target two age categories, students’ ages 12 to 15 years and 16 to 20 years. Students from government and private secondary schools will be invited as well as sixth form students. Period for submission of essays will be from September 20 to October 15, 2010.
JCI Antigua takes this opportunity to express our most profound thanks to ABI Bank for once again coming on board to support JCI and its program which is aimed towards the development of our young people. The YEP Program will be launched on Thursday 26th August 2010 at ABI Financial Center.
JCI Antigua (Jaycees) is a non-profit organization affiliated to JCI West Indies and Junior Chamber International and our mission is to contribute to the advancement of the global community, by providing the opportunity for young people to develop their leadership skills, social responsibility, entrepreneurship and fellowship necessary to create positive change.
